Tutorial Case Study: Example Inc.

This is a small case study to help you get started actually using AMP.

Example Inc. is a small but diverse company. it has two divisions with very different risk characteristics. However, there is only one internal audit department, which performs the audits for both divisions. The internal audit manager in charge of implementing AMP decided that two families of files should be used, one for each division. This facilitates having different risk models for each division. It also has the benefit of separating calculations based on financial data where there might not be any direct relationship between the divisions. For example, the DOLLAR SIZE values for the audit units in Division 1 may be much larger than those for Division 2 and yet not represent higher risk for audit units in Division 1.
